By nature I was not a person who was motivated enough to spend time going to the gym and figuring out what to do there on my own. I had tried a few times but I often felt out of place and lacked motivation. This in turn caused me to be less active then I could have been. I wanted to be more active so I started to look at other options. 

It was around spring time in 2008 that I joined Body Be Fits' bootcamp with some girlfriends to get active, healthy and see what this "bootcamp" thing was all about.  I will admit that the training sessions were difficult but I was starting to see results in just a short period of time. Overall I felt in better shape and best of all my clothes were starting to fit differently!  These results far surpassed any results I was getting from going to a gym by myself and the motivation I needed came from having Kevin push me to do my best.

At the peak of my results I discovered I was pregnant and I needed to take it easier on my body. My husband and I became proud parents in February 2010.  After a few months of healing from a C-section delivery and a gull bladder removal operation I was excited to get back into a fitness routine and loose that baby weight. It began by going to Mom & Tots bootcamp that Body Be Fit ran. At this time I weighed 183lbs and was committed to a 2 day - a - week training schedule to get back into shape. Each bootcamp I went to was more informative and different. The mix up of exercises was one of the factors I enjoyed and exercising with other moms who just had babies too!  The trainers would even hold crying babies to ensure that we got the most from the workouts.

In August I enrolled in the Pound for Pound Challenge. I did 3 bootcamps a week and in each class I worked harder than the class before.  The baby weight was starting to disappear and fast!  My ability to do full push-ups, crunches and improve on my cardio became so much easier!  The challenge lasted 7 weeks and in that time I lost a total of 12lbs and 10.75" off my body frame.  My arms, legs, stomach and butt all looked more toned and lean. Most importantly I weighed less than my pre-baby weight and my clothes were starting to be loose! It was with the help of the two trainers Kevin and Julie that all of this was possible. The end result of the challenge was the biggest surprise to me as I placed first! The difference between my starting numbers in August compared to the ending numbers 7 weeks later in October had gotten better!  The results were even surprising to me. The trainers, Kevin and Julie made it possible for me to get the results I wanted in a time frame that couldn't be done had I trained on my own. Kevin helped me understand the importance of food and healthy eating.  Furthermore he helped me understand technique and proper form when exercising.  Julie helped me realize that I can push myself much further than I thought I could and is continuing to teach me not to under estimate my potential.

My husband, family and friends are amazed with my results and I feel more confident of my post baby body.  It is because of this I decided to continue my training with Kevin and Julie as I know I can push myself further to get even better results!
